Under the pale sun of Punta Tombo there are thousands of penguins and several hundred human beings who seem to want to get lost among them.

unta Tombo, located 180 kilometres south of Puerto Madryn, is the largest colony of Magellanic penguins. It is a narrow strip of pebbly beach that penetrates the sea like a tongue and offers a stunning natural spectacle.

The Welsh colony of Gaiman, in the valley of the River Chubut, preserves its chapels and still offers the traditional Welsh tea. The city of Trelew is home to the Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum (MEF) where the dinosaurs that lived in Patagonia are the main attraction. Playa Unión, next to the mouth of the River Chubut, on the open sea is the place to get near to the Commerson’s dolphin.
